MOUNTAIN GENERATOR WITH ONE COMMAND?! – Minecraft 1.8+ (NO PLUGINS OR MODS REQUIRED)

[Intro music] Max: Louis?
Louis: Yeah?
Max: What are those mountains doing over there? Louis: I’m not too sure. But I think it’s
got something to do with the Mountain Generator we’re showcasing today on Top Minecraft. Max: “What is a Mountain Generator?” I hear
you ask… It’s a generator that makes mountains. Louis: That’s not all there is, and I’ll show
you. So what you want to do is place your command
block. Now, I’m gonna crash when I paste this command
in but if you’re on singleplayer it won’t happen. We believe it’s a multiplayer bug or it’s
just our terrible server. So once you paste the command in, press “Done”. As I said, I’m gonna crash so we’ll cut back. [DERP] Max: So the command is actually in the command
block even though he crashed. Louis: Okay, so once that’s done, press the
button. Now, what I would say is elevate this a little bit. I believe it destroys some things that are
in it’s path. So once you press the button, you’ll see that
things will start to happen. Max: I’m stuck in a block! Louis: The command blocks have been spawned!
As you can see we put it one block above our fences. Okay, so that’s all done now and you’ll see
that we have eggs in our inventory. So we’re gonna start off with the first three. That will spawn in your basic mountain skeleton,
I guess. You end up with things like these. If you come over here, Max, I’ll show you…
(this way) yep. I’ll show you how it works. So if you right click the floor, you’ll see
that you get a nice little squid here and it will start to happen. This is the desert mountain, as you can see
it layers it all nicely for you. And we’ve got a nice little mountain. Do you want to try the ice or the dirt somewhere? Max: Yeah! [music plays] Louis: So with this command block it allows
you to use simple attributes from WorldEdit or VoxelSniper. But obviously, this is vanilla, there’s no
mods or plugins at all on this server – this is completely done with command blocks. It is a nice feature. Now obviously, when you’re stuck with just
a mountain like this, you know, what can you do with it? But I just wanna show you the mountain over
here, you can see that they’re not generated the same (they are different). They’re slightly random, so you will get a
different mountain every time. It spawns itself in a little square area and
as you can see on the lower parts of the mountain it is stone. You can texture this to fit with
your biome. This is what the pink eggs do further in your
hotbar. The first three… if we go to the ice…
you’ll see that it will place a three by three area of ice. And the ones that are in slots seven to nine
make a random layer, as it were, so it allows you to smooth the bottom of your mountain
creation. You get a lot of creative freedom with this. It just allows you to smooth it in a bit more. Now, if we come over this side… Max: Here’s one I built earlier! Louis: Exactly. Just took this out of the
oven! It’s been cooking. Max: [giggle] Louis: This is like a… I started off with
a desert and I just added some grass to it and this took maybe, four or five minutes
to do. And obviously, in vanilla – no plugins or
anything. It’s quite good! Max: And then I, over here, took a bit of… Yeah, this isn’t great. But, uh…
Louis: Bit trigger happy? Max: Yeah. It was a nice mountain and it got
broken in a couple of places. Like you can see the bottom of the stone here. If I had a bit more time I would’ve fixed
that. Louis: I think the thing with this is that
there is no Undo, whereas with WorldEdit or VoxelSniper you can undo a change if you don’t
like something. Max: In here, you have to spam ice! Louis: Yep. So, once you’ve built your mountains obviously
you’re not gonna wanna keep this monstrosity of a box… You’ll see we have a nice little “Destroy
Machine” button, so if you wanna press that Max? The glass will change green and the machine
is gone. So you’re now left to look at your beautiful
or not so beautiful mountains. Thank you very much for watching, we really
appreciate it, we’ll see you next week with another Top Minecraft video! (Max, this is where you say goodb-) Max: BYE. [potion splashes]
