What do we live for? The sun rises everyday, to bring lives, then it sets on the west. Not to rest, it sets to rise again. What for? What is this impeccable day and night alternation are for? Does it happen for no reason? If so, then, the universe would be such a waste with prevalent of countless lives and creations within, will be such a futility. As if there isn’t any God, That is Most Knowing. The All-Wise. The Most Wise of Creator. This is absurd. Our commonsense can not comprehend it. ‘And We did not create the heavens and earth and that between them in play. (merely play, anything done in vain)’ QS. Ad-Dukhan: 38 Do we live, night and day only to eat, then grow, acquire the worldly goals, find a partner, produce offspring, prepare our offspring to achieve their dreams, getting old, and then died, buried in the ground, leaving behind all those arduous accomplishments, then be forgotten.. as time goes by? that’s it? No afterlife? alas, how short and meaningless, then life was. If so, what is life all about? If no more happiness to strive for afterwards? If there is no question, nor responsibilities, for every seconds that we have been through. There is no reward, no paybacks, and no punishment. There is no heaven, or hell. No justice after death Then what do we live for? Why do things exists? If there is no life after death? If it is impossible for human to plan and to create something without purpose, Is it possible that Allah ﷻ with all the wisdom, created the universe to serve no purpose? Brothers and Sisters, life is precious. We do exist for a reason. There is something to endeavor! Afahasibtum annama khalaqnakumAAabathan waannakum ilayna la turjaAAoon ‘Then did you think that We created you uselessly, and that to Us you would not be returned?’ QS. Al Mu’minun :115 Brothers and Sisters, we all will return to Allah ﷻ, Our Creator. There will only be 2 place of return: heaven, where there only eternal happiness, or hellfire, the eternal prison of torment. The people of Believers, sees, and thinks of the creation of this universe. It must be created for a reason. There must be a purpose and a place to return. Then, they prayed to be avoided – -from bad endings. Which is the Hellfire Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day are signs for those of understanding. Those who remember Allah while standing, sitting, or lying down and think deeply about the creation of heavens and the earth, saying: ‘Our Lord! You have not created (all) this without purpose, glory to You. Give us salvation from the torment of the Fire’ . QS. Ali ‘Imran : 190-191
