How to Bootstrap Graphic Design

– Are you looking for ways to bootstrap the graphic design work you need to start your new online business? Now, I like to divide
my graphic design work into two categories. Initial branding and on-going work. So, let’s first talk
about initial branding. This is where you have a logo design to the color palette and fonts. This is really important to do well. So I generally recommend
if at all possible, you work with a graphic designer to do this initial branding work. It’s not going to be cheap. But if you do this part well, You’ll save lots of money later on your on-going graphic design work. Now if you are truly
on a very tight budget, there are options out there
like Fiverr and similar sites where you can contract out the work. But fair warning, well
those types of sites can be awesome for certain tasks, you need to be really
careful who you work with and remember that you generally
will get what you pay for. Now the second category
of graphic design work is the on-going work
that needs to be done. And this is things like
web ads, email images, content page headers, and
social media graphics. You’ll need a never ending
stream of these items to support your online marketing efforts. But the good news is that this is where you can really save money. If you did your branding well up front, it’s fairly easy to use
something like Canva to then create these on-going
images that you’ll need. Canva is an online
software and it’s amazing because they have a ton of
templates for various purposes and you can setup your logo,
your colors, your fonts. And then, you’re just dragging
and dropping images and text. I think I pay around $12 a month for Canva and it’s seriously the best
$12 I spend each month. Just makes my life so much easier. For more tips, check out
