hey guys what's up and welcome back to my channel so in this video I'll be testing out the model ones poly gel kit this is available on Amazon Prime and this is everything that comes with the kit you get six different colors of poly gel top coat and base coat a slip solution glitter nail file your tool that has two brush on one end and spatula on the other and you also get these dual forms and I really love that they come in a case like this is bomb and these are high-quality and they actually fit nail bids from sidewall to sidewall so I really do like these the instructions are on the back of the box and it just walks you through step-by-step on how to do poly gel nails alright so these are the bottles they are 15 grams and they all come sealed so this is the light pink soft pink pure white light apricot nude and this one is a color-changing poly gel I've never seen anything like this and I am so excited to try this out but this is what it looks like out the bottle it is a dark pink color and these are all the colors side by side alright so I have my nails here I'm gonna be doing some press I just removed some nails so my nails look a little crusty right now but anyway I'm just gonna go ahead and push back my cuticles and then use the opposite end of the cuticle pusher to scrape up any of that dead cuticle skin on my nail plate go in with my flame cuticle bit and I work this around my cuticles just to further get up any of the dead skin this is really what helps prevent lifting all right so after all of the cuticle work I'm gonna take the hand file and trim down my nails and also lightly file the surface of my nails to remove any shine once that's all done I'm going in with the base gel coat and I'm applying a thin even coat to all of my nails and I cared this in my LED lamp for 60 seconds alright so like I said it I'm gonna be trying out this new color-changing poly gel and I'm gonna use the slip solution now this is the first time that I've had a kit that comes with slip I think this is such a good idea so as you guys can see it does come with this top that prevents the liquid from just spilling out all willy-nilly and so you go ahead and just put a small amount inside the cap so I've already picked out my dual form sizes and when picking out sizes you just want to make sure that it fits perfectly from sidewall to sidewall and also nicely around the cuticle area and you don't want it to be too tight because you need room for the product to actually sit inside the dual form all right so I'm gonna squeeze out some of the POW gel and place it into the form and then I whip my brush and dab the excess on paper towel and then I just had this in place I didn't quite have enough poly gel so I had to add some more and once again I'm just going to take a small amount of that slip dabbing the excess on paper towel and then patting the poly gel down the nail form this poly gel is really easy to work with at first I was a little skeptical because the slip solution is so small but you really only need a small amount of slip and as you can see the poly gel is not sticking to my brush at all so once I have the probably go the way that I like I'm gonna go ahead and press this against my nail and cleaning up any excess that squeeze out on the sides and then also smoothing out the underside because if you don't it'll be very lumpy so then I go ahead and cure in my LED lamp for 60 seconds and as you guys can see the heat from my nail lamp has changed the color to this milky clear color so I'm just gonna go ahead and pop off the door form and this is the nail super easy and I just love how these do it for us actually fit alright so I'm just gonna continue with the rest of my nails so yeah as I said it before this poly gel is so easy to work with it's not too hard and it's not too soft it's really easy to work with I didn't have any problem squeezing it out the tube or anything like that and it's not too soft to where it kind of moves around but it's not too hard to where it's hard to work with so it is the perfect consistency and this is an LM that I use it is a 48 watt lamp with poly gel you do need a higher wattage lamp so I'm just putting that out there some people complain about how they pop off and stuff and I think it's because it's not being cured fully so for my ring finger nail I'm going to be using the glitter that came in the kit and also some blue dried flowers just for some accents so first I'm just starting off with a small amount of poly gel and placing a thin layer inside of the dual form and this is going to be the layer that I push all of my glitter and flowers into so you want this layer to be thin but not super thin because you don't want the flowers and glitter to push through the poly gel all right so I'm just gonna go ahead and press my flower into the poly gel and then also some glitter and another flower so once I like the way the placement is I'm going to take a larger glob of the poly gel and place that inside the dual form and lightly press this over the flowers in the glitter you don't want to press too hard because you'll move all of the stuff that you put inside so just have a light hand lightly press and lightly drag it down into a form and once I like that placement I just go ahead and place the dual form on my nail and of course wipe it up any of the excess that squeezed out alright so after caring you see that it turns to that clear milky color again and this is what it looks like after I pop off the dual form so for my index finger I wanted to try to do a glitter ombre so I just a once again use a thin layer of poly gel inside the dual form and then press the glitter inside of that poly gel and then once I like the glitter placement go ahead and grab a bigger glob of poly gel and work that down the dual form alright so once I like that placement go ahead and press that onto my nail and this is where I noticed that once I pressed it on my nail it kind of messed up the ombre so yeah but that's cool so I went ahead and cured that for 60 seconds and this is after all of the nails are formed and I'm just going to use that hand file to do my shaping and filing so after doing my shaping I'm taking my e-file with a medium grit safety bit and I'm just gonna work that on the underside of the nail some of these were a little bit too thick underneath so I just wanted to go ahead and send that out and then I went ahead and buff each nail to remove any of the scratches from the filing so this is after the nails have been filed shaped and left and to kind of camouflage my felt glitter ombre I'm just gonna apply some bling so I'm going in with some bling gel and then without caring I'm placing the model ones top coat on top and I'm just going to place some of these beautiful crystals and once I like that placement I went ahead and cure that in my nail lamp and now I'm applying the top coat to the rest of the nails and before I care I just went ahead and place some small crystals around the cuticle areas and after doing a final care in my LED lamp for 60 seconds I went ahead and applied cuticle oil and this is how they turned out I do want to show you guys how the color changing effect works so I have some cold water here and once you dip it in there for a few seconds it turns to this beautiful dark pink color and this is so cool like I said I've never seen a color-changing poly gel I think this is such a dope idea so if you guys are interested in this model once poly gel kit head over to Amazon I'll leave the link down below and I want to give a big thank you to model ones for sponsoring this video
